What is Domiciliary Care?

Hourly care – also known as domiciliary care – provides you with a care assistant who visits you at home, supporting your daily needs and enabling you to maintain your independence.

With a little extra help, you can continue to stay living in your own home, following your familiar routine and doing the things you enjoy.

Domiciliary Care is generally provided for a minimum of 30 minutes up to an hour at a time, with your carer able to stay with you for as many hours as you need. One carer can arrive as another leaves if required and your carer will visit you as many times as you choose, daily or weekly.

Why choose an hourly carer from ENA Care Group?

We’ve been providing Domiciliary Care since 2009, so we understand exactly what is required of a Domiciliary Carer.

We know how important it is to live independently at home with domiciliary care in place to support you to make your own choices in life – a key value upon which the ENA Care Group was founded.

With our extensive experience in providing Domiciliary Care, you’ll truly notice the difference in the professional support and care options we offer, the caring attitude and extra support provided by our staff.

As your Domiciliary Care visits will often help to assist with tasks such as washing, dressing and taking medication, we know that reliability and consistency is essential and that you depend on your care visits to continue living safely at home.

If you opt for our Domiciliary Care service we guarantee you’ll receive:

  • A highly trained hourly carer
  • A dedicated care coordinator
  • A flexible and reliable care service
  • Care which aims to exceed the guidelines recommended by the CQC
  • Expert advice and support from friendly, compassionate and professional office team
  • A 24/7 fast response, where required

We are Care Quality Commission (CQC) registered and the high quality of our services and what you can expect from us are reflected in our CQC reports. Our CQC provider ID for ENA Hourly Care is 1-4857621816.

We understand that inviting an hourly carer into your home can seem daunting, but we’ll work with you to find the right carer for you.

Using our extensive professional expertise and experience, we’ll support you through the whole process step by step, matching you with a carer you feel completely comfortable with, who understands your routine and your individual needs.

Over 80% of our clients have been referred to us by friends or family. We are continually developing our services and training to improve the level of care we can offer.

“Over the years we have had experience of a number of care agencies and ENA have been head and shoulders above the rest, putting their clients needs first and giving advice and support alongside the care”

How much does hourly care cost?

The cost of an hourly will depend on a number of factors, including how many hours each day you need care and if you need care for yourself or as part of a couple.

As a guide, costs for our hourly care service start from:

£25.00 per hour – Monday to Sunday, exclusive of bank holidays

We currently provide domiciliary care in Welwyn Garden City, Welwyn, St Albans, Hatfield, Harpenden and the surrounding villages.

What are the benefits of hourly care?

Visits from an hourly carer help you to maintain your independence and enable you to continue making your own choices in life.

A domiciliary carer will help you with household tasks, meal preparation, and cleaning, whilst providing companionship and support when you need it.

We take pride in our hourly care service, which was inspired by our live in care service. We guarantee we offer a reliable, professional and dependable hourly care service.

“The ENA hourly carers go above and beyond to help Dad out. They really do care about him and I appreciate all their hard work. It’s a huge relief knowing I can rely on their carers”

— Ms M, Hertfordshire

“I feel safe cared for by the ENA staff. I have never had any concerns about being exploited or being in any way at harm. I happily let my domiciliary carer walk around my home with no concerns, they are like family.”

— Mrs A, Hertfordshire

1Highly trained care assistants

We hold high expectations of our hourly carers, which must be met before any carer joins our team. We have key criteria such as value-based interviewing which allows us to check that the quality of a candidate meets our high standards.

Hourly carers must pass our rigorous recruitment process and undergo thorough background checks and on the job supervision.

2Guaranteed care cover

Our 24/7 care helpline is in place to support our clients and carers outside of office hours. The service means our qualified care team can be called on at short notice, ensuring your care is covered if an emergency should arise.

3Expert care and advice

Our team has a combined experience of over thirty years in the domiciliary care industry. We are experienced in managing your care needs, working with other health professionals such as social workers, GPs and therapists to support the delivery of the best possible health outcomes.

We have access to a unique support network of experts in the domiciliary care industry and if we don’t have the answer, we will always support you by signposting to the relevant professional. We are constantly striving to use best practice and improvement techniques in the domiciliary care service we offer.

For further information on how we can support you with hourly care at home, please just get in touch with our team, who will be more than happy to help you. We will be able to talk you through the care transition to hourly care and assess your care needs. We are able to set up an hourly care service within 24 hours if necessary.
